The Bike Doctor of Kent Island first opened its doors in May of 2001. Our goal was not to become the largest bicycle retailer in the area , but rather to become a full service shop where cyclists of all ages and abilities can come to have all of their cycling needs fulfilled. With many large chains and discount shops doing business on the Internet in this day and age many folks believe the importance of the local bike shop has diminished. We couldn't disagree more. Like all things these days cycling continues to evolve as do the core technologies involved. As bikes become increasingly complex it is more important than ever to have the personal assistance and individualized support that only a quality local bike shop can provide. Even choosing the correct bicycle to purchase has become a daunting task due to the wider range of choices in brands, styles and technologies than ever before. Since not everyone shares the same riding style or goals we pride ourselves on working with each client individually to evaluate their personal options to ensure they make the purchase that's right for them.
